This drawer contains a few grabs of my Workbench.
I run my WB in PAL Hires Laced 64 colours, with full overscan (724x566).
This fills my monitor. My system is set up for speed more than appearance;
I have around 1,600,000 bytes of chip mem free when I boot up.
The brown colour scheme comes from a backdrop I had installed a while ago; I
think I run the only brown desktop the world has ever seen. Whether this is
a good thing or not is debatable.
I've replaced the standard "topaz" font with "newtopaz", which came with
Ww4SE.
The backdrop came from an old AFCD, and I've used it on my backdrop and in
the windows because NewIcons takes up quite a few colours in the palette,
ruining my old backdrop. This way, I save memory, too.
My system consists of:
Commodore A1200 mobo 1D4
Apollo A1260/50mhz MMU/FPU
32 meg fast RAM
OS 3.0 (OS 3.1 soft-kicked with RemApollo)
Seagate 810 meg 2.5" IDE h/d
Power Computing Compaq 8x IDE CD-ROM
Power Computing 4-way buffered IDE interface
Power Computing 3.5" external floppy
Eyetech EZ-VGA scandoubler/flicker fixer
15" Adlas monitor
GVP DSS8+ sound sampler
Prelude 1200 sound card
Datel Goliath 230W psu
Canon BJC250 printer
Datel Pro MIDI interface (with Yamaha PSR320 keyboard)
The patches I use are:
IDEFix '97 (only when using my CD-ROM, since it slows my hard drive down!)
Tools Daemon
CacheCDFS
MCP
Beyond the Dark screen blanker
FKey
NewIcons (though I've only changed my device icons)
FastIPrefs (installed after these shots were taken)
Birdie (installed after these shots were taken)
StackAttack
OxyPatcher
WBExtender (About menu only; nothing else works with latest setpatch)
I also use the -debug option in LoadWB to access the "flushlibs" menu item.
